2012 – A Europe for its citizens

The Annual conference and General Assembly of EUNET 2012 will take place
from Thursday, September 27th until Sunday, September 30th 2012 in Vukovar (Croatia).

Europski Dum VukovarWith regard to the European Year for Citizens in 2013 Vukovar, located on the Danube river directly on the Croatian-Serbian border, is a good place to reflect on European citizenship, what it means for our own activities and what a soon to be new member state (and its citizens) expect from the European level..

New board elections will be held during the General Assembly.

The languages for the conference are English, German, French and Croatien (only Saturday morning).
You will find all details on the language regime in the conference programme.

Conference venue and getting there

Where is…

map VukovarVukovar is located in the north-east part of Croatia, directly at the Danube river and close to the Croatian-Serbian border.
Therefore the closest international airport is Belgrade (Serbia) and not Zagreb in Croatia..EUNET provides a shuttle bus from Belgrade airport to Vukovar (and vice versa).

How to get there

by car

Follow the directions of your GPS-System.

by train

Final destination for international railway connections is the train station in Vinkovci. A shuttle bus will pick you up to bring you to the hotel.

by plane

The closest airport is Belgrade (Serbia). Feel free to check your flight options with Skyscanner.

On Thursday, September 27th a EUNET shuttle bus leaves from Belgrade airport at 18.00h. If you want to use the shuttle bus please select “Arrival by shuttle bus” in the registration form. The trip will take about one and a half hours.

On Sunday, September 30th a shuttle bus will leave Vukovar at 8:30h to bring you back to Belgrade airport.  Please don’t make any flight arrangements with a departure time before 11h.

Participation fee and travel cost reimbursement

The participation fee is 150 € to be paid cash (in EURO) upon arrival.

Accommodation is in single rooms. Upon request you may be put up in a double room (see registration form).

Travel costs will be reimbursed according to the following rules:

up to 250€: 80% of the actual cost
between 250€ and 400€: the actual amount minus 50€
over 400€: 350€

Reimbursements will be made by bank transfer based on the travel cost reimbursement rules after we have received the required documents from you.

EUNET will cover the cost for three nights (September 27th to 30th, 2012).
All additional nights are on your own expense.

Registration

Due to a limited budget the participation is restricted to a maximum of two persons per organisation / EUNET member.
