Call for proposals: Civil Society Cooperation in the field of Youth

The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency has published a call for proposals for Civil Society Cooperation in the field of Youth.

Erasmus plusThe objective of the present Call is to provide structural support, referred to as operating grant, to European non-governmental organisations (ENGOs) and EU-wide networks active in the field of education and training or in the field of youth and pursuing the following general aims:

  • Raise stakeholder awareness of European policy agendas in education, training and youth, in particular Europe 2020, Education and Training 2020, specific policy agendas such as the Bologna or the Bruges-Copenhagen processes, as well as the EU Youth Strategy.
  • Increase stakeholder commitment and cooperation with public authorities for the implementation of policies and reforms in the fields of education and training and of youth, such as of the country-specific recommendations issued in the framework of the European Semester;
  • Boost stakeholder participation in the field of education, training and youth;
  • Boost stakeholder involvement in the dissemination of policy and Programme actions and results and of good practice among their membership and beyond.

Call for Nominations for the Second European Democratic Citizenship Awards

European Democratic Citizenship AwardsThe European Democratic Citizenship Awards celebrate civic engagement and annually reward innovative civic initiatives and actors whose day-to-day struggles give real substance to European values, create ownership of the public space and improve the lives of our communities in terms of democracy, social justice and universal access to rights.

Four awards will be attributed falling under the following categories:

  • The Campaign of the Year rewarding awareness raising or advocacy campaigns run in 2014, with a real and proven impact on community life or public action and a high potential of driving transformative change;
  • The NGO of the Year rewarding non-profit organisations for innovative transnational activities implemented in 2014 that specifically promote the European values and the Council of Europe’s Charter for education to citizenship and education to Human Rights;
  • The Personality of the Year rewarding individuals for their outstanding and emancipatory contribution to the democratic life, the social progress and the development of their community;
  • The Media Initiative of the Year rewarding collaborative initiatives for, by and with citizens that, using different tools such as Internet, social media, audio-visual materials, contribute to enhance participation, foster informed citizenry, enable the development of civic space. Special attention will be given in 2015 to initiatives promoting freedom of expression. Professional journalism initiatives are not eligible under this category.

Call for applications: Intercultural Innovation Award 2015

Intercultural Innovation AwardCall for Application of the 2015 edition of the Intercultural Innovation Award, a partnership between the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the BMW Group.

The Award searches for grassroots projects around the world that are promoting dialogue and cooperation among people from different cultural backgrounds using novel and creative methods.

Ten organizations with sustainable and innovative intercultural projects that have potential for expansion and replication will be awarded funding and strategic support by the BMW Group and the UNAOC. To be considered, organizations must apply online by Wednesday, 30 September 2015 at 5:00 pm New York City time.

Call for projects: CALL4Europe

logo_call4europe_01In the year 2015, the Austrian not-for-profit association Respekt.net organizes a call for projects entitled “CALL4Europe” and invites interested European project initiators which work on current and future challenges of Europe to make use of crowdfunding opportunities on the platform www.respekt.net.

As additional incentive Respekt.net offers EUR 100,000 as “doubling donation” to a selection out of all submitted projects. The projects awarded with the “doubling donation” will be selected by a high-level jury. The “doubling donation” amounts up to 50% of the respective target budget. The project initiators have to collect the remaining 50% with means of crowdfunding at www.respekt.net in order to reach the full funding of their projects.

Call for proposals – Civil Society Dialogue between the EU and Turkey

unnamedIn 2015 the Civil Society Dialogue continues with new call for proposals for new grant projects.
In this fourth phase of the programme, projects across nine acquis and policy areas of the EU will be supported with a total budget of 11 million Euros.
These areas will include Environment; Energy; Consumer and Health Protection; Justice, Freedom and Security; Right of Establishment and Freedom to Provide Services; Regional Policy and Coordination of Structural Elements; Enterprise and Industrial Policy; Agriculture and Fisheries; and Education.

In this nine schemes projects will be financed by a maximum of 150 thousand Euro grant support. The implementation period of financed projects will be minimum 10 and maximum 15 months.
