The programme of the conference (17. - 18.10.2008), promoted by the Accademia Europeista del Friuli Venezia Giulia within the project "We Europeans", is widely inspired to the issues and the results linked with the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty and with the deadlines of 2009. Among them there are the elections of the European Parliament.

In particular, it will be focused on the issues of the "Euroregion" project, also referring to the EGTC (European Group for Territorial Cooperation).
Aims of the speeches are the analysis not only of the chances for facing new challenges but also for contributing to the political, cultural and technical debate on European integration.

The seminar will be attended by speakers and participants on behalf of European, Regional and Local authorities coming from different countries (Italy, Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Portugal and Slovenia), but also of academies and associations.
