EUNET welcomes new members |

The project was initiated by Eurodesk Germany. "With our broadcast we want to motivate young people to discover Europe (for themselves)" says Reinhard Schwalbach, President of the European Eurodesk network. "We take advantage of the strength of our European network: the city information and all other country specific features are partly shot directly on-site by our partners in Italy, Sweden or Greece".
Europe-wide, Eurodesk.tv is the first magazine covering mobility and European topics and directly addressing young people.

Member States, EU institutions and a wide range of stakeholders. The aim is to
exploit and promote creative and innovative approaches and initiatives in
different domains of human activity and at all levels. While education and
culture will be at the centre of the Year, it feeds into many other policy
areas, such as enterprise, information society, employment or regional policy.

European Parliament starts its own Internet TV |
|
The European Parliament
launched on September 17th EuroparlTV, the Parliament's own webTV channel.
As from today anyone with Internet access will be able to watch a
regularly changing set of programmes based around the life of the
Parliament.
The aim of EuroparlTV is to bring Parliament closer to
European citizens in a modern and creative format.

EuroparlTV is not a single channel but rather is split into four channels, each directed to a different audience:

Conference "Les Droits de l'Homme, pierre angulaire de la Démocratie" |
|
For the 60th anniversary of the declaration for human rights EUNET organises, together with other organisations an the European Court for Human Rights a one day conference with the title "Les Droits de l'Homme, pierre angulaire de la Démocratie" on December 12th 2008 at the premises of the European Court for Human Rights in Strasbourg.
Conference language is French.

EUNET members won call for proposals "Debate Europe" |
|
Two of our members, Centrum pre európsku politiku and Europäische Akademie Berlin , won the national call for proposals "Debate Europe" of the European Union in Slovakia and Germany.
Our members therefore take the leading role in the dialogue between Europe and its citizens in both countries.
