The office of EUNET at Bonn exists since the establishment of the network in July 2004 and is part of an office community with Gesellschaft der Europäischen Akademien e.V. and Europäischen Akademie Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V. . The office community brings the big advantage of a shared infrastructure, a saving, which benefits EUNET. Furthermore the colleagues of the three organisations support each other, so that in case of absence the phone will never be unanswered.

Since January 1st 2007 the office has with Thomas Heckeberg a fulltime permanent representative. Therefore the office will develop further to what it should be: a contact and coordination point for the members of EUNET.

The tasks of an office are various and range from administrative management on local and european level to the point of consulting on call for proposals and add to the guidelines given by the General Assembly and the board for EUNETs work.
