200px-ambox_warning_blue_construction.svgThis section is in the middle of an expansion or major restructuring. The provided information is limited or not up-to-date.

The main aim of the Committee is "to aid the member institute in finding new concepts and forms for projects and cooperation. In addition the Committee shall offer further training". And as important is to activate members to share knowledge and best practice and engage them in joint activities. Since its origin the Committee has worked to that extent being involved in a number of activities and projects, e.g. Waves of Democracy 2007 and 2010 and the publication of Europe in your pocket (see below). In 2008 the Committee was restructured and has met three times since: in Berlin in January 2009 and March 2010 and at Schloss Gimborn in June 2009 and March 2011. Next meeting is stipulated for October 2011 in Metz in connection with the EUNET GA.

The main concern over the next years will be to promote the dialogue with civil society. The various identities, values, human rights, and democracy in Europe and in the world will be topics of central interest and work for the coming years. It's a major concern for the Committee to activate as many members as possible in cross-border activities, projects and training.

The Committee is chaired by Nina Nørgaard, DK - IUC Europe

foto_europa_in_der_tasche_webThe Committee on Content and Methodology of EUNET, European Network on Education and Training, in May 2009 published the pocket-size guide book Europe in your pocket -your smart guide to the European Union.

This easy-to-read guide gives young people and anyone else interested an overview over the developments and the reasons for the European Integration process.
This reader provides recent information such as facts and figures concerning the member states, the Euro, the history of the European Union and explains the organs and the procedures within the European Institutions. But this booklet comes also up with the latest information about the Treaty of Lisbon and the distribution of the seats in Parliament, background information useful not just for those who are going to vote for the first time.

Now that between 4th and 7th June there will be taking place elections in all the 27 member states we want to mobilize people to participate in democracy and in particular inform young students about how the EU works!
But even after the elections, this brochure will be of use in multiple ways, such as: additional handouts at school, as "convenient EU-Info" just to have it always at your finger tips.

Our everyday work shows us how easy it is to open the students' eyes and to motivate them to participate in the democratic process just by providing them with information and working with them. Often they are surprised how close ties are between their everyday lives and the decision-making in politics.
