2010 – Citizens for Europe (Bad Marienberg)

The General Assembly of EUNET 2010 will take place from September 10 – September 12, 2010 at our member organisation Europe House Marienberg in Bad Marienberg (Germany).

Languages will be English, German and French. See programme for further details.

How to get there / Airports

By plane

The closest airports to the conference venue Europe House Marienberg are Cologne/Bonn and Frankfurt am Main. Please note that in both cases it is necessary to continue your journey by train. The station is Montabaur. From there a shuttle bus to the conference venue leaves on September 10th at 13.00 h and 16.15 h.

Among airlines which offer cheap flights from numerous destinations all over Europe are Germanwings, TUIfly and airberlin.

By train

The closest ICE train station to the venue (Montabaur) is located halfway between Cologne and Frankfurt and easily accessible from both airports by train. Timetable

  • from Cologne/Bonn airport: please note that there is no direct train connection from the airport to Montabaur. Regional trains and commuter trains run to the ICE train stations Cologne central station (Köln Hauptbahnhof) and Siegburg/Bonn. From there you have access to the ICE train to Montabaur.
  • from Frankfurt airport: from the long-distance train station Frankfurt Flughafen ICE trains go to Montabaur every hour. The station is located at Terminal 1 on Level T.

Best departure times at Frankfurt airport:

  • Friday, September 10th: Departure 12:25h -> Arrival at Montabaur 12:54h
  • Friday, September 12th: Departure 15:32h -> Arrival at Montabaur 16:00h

On Friday, September 10th a EUNET shuttle bus leaves from Montabaur ICE station at 13.00 h and 16.15 h. Please be aware that the shuttle bus will leave on time.

The local train station of the conference venue Bad Marienberg is called “Nistertal/Bad Marienberg”.

  • From Cologne: via Siegburg – Au – Altenkirchen – Nistertal/Bad Marienberg or with the ICE to Montabaur / Limburg
  • From Frankfurt: via Limburg – Westerburg – Nistertal/Bad Marienberg or with the ICE to Montabaur / Limburg

There also is a bus line between Montabaur and Bad Marienberg running several times a day. Timetable

Participation fee and travel cost

The participation fee is 150 € to be paid cash (in EURO) upon arrival.

Accommodation is in single rooms. Upon request you may be put up in a double room (see registration form).

 

Travel costs will be reimbursed according to the following rules:
up to 50€:                             no reimbursement
between 50€ and 300€:        the actual amount minus 50€
over 300€:                            250€

Reimbursements will be made by bank transfer after we have received the required documents from you.

EUNET will cover the cost for two nights (September 10 to 12, 2010). All additional nights are on your own expense.
