For the fourth time The House of Europe in Rhodes is organizing the international Rhodes Model Regional Co-operation from October 16th to 20th 2013 in Rhodes.
RhodesMRC follows the practice of Model United Nations. MUN is a global trend on the training of students of political sciences and diplomats, for more than 80 years.
Students, young scientists of law, political science or international relations and diplomats or just international relations ¬ďfans¬Ē, gather together at places around the world to simulate the works of an international organization and its committees, gaining valuable experience on negotiations and decision making.
During these simulations, each participant is assigned a country which he/she represents during the sessions. He/she is acting as an official of the assigned country, so he/she is challenged to ignore any personal thoughts and act as a true diplomat.
Being academically innovative and challenging, our Model is dedicated to Regional Co-operation. During its three years of run, RhodesMRC has provided the academic community with unique simulations of the Union for the Mediterranean, the Black Sea Economic Co-operation Organization and the Council of Europe.
For the fourth edition of RhodesMRC, the Organization for the Security and Co-operation in Europe will be added to the simulated committees, securing once again the innovative and forward conference that RhodesMRC is.
For three years, more than 150 people from 13 countries have participated to RhodesMRC, contributing to its advancement while sharing the experience of diplomatic procedure and unique moments of fun!
This year, the Organizations which will be simulated will be the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the Council of Europe and the Union for the Mediterranean.
Whether you are participating to the University or the High School Edition of RhodesMRC 2013, we can only promise a unique experience in one of the top European destinations, with its unique historical and cultural background.
