International Youth meeting about social movements and youth protests in Europe

December 28th, 2013 – January 04, 2014

Sonnenberg Kreis e.V. is looking for partners from 5 European countries for the Youth meeting ‘Youth on the Move!’ to be held at International House Sonnenberg (Germany) in December 2013 / January2014.

The youth meeting is to be implemented within the Youth in Action Programme, subprogramme 3.1

Project idea

“Youth on the move” invites 50 young people from 5 different European countries for a youth meeting to the Harz Mountains in Germany.

Portugal, France, England, Greece or Spain…there’s a long list of countries where young people recently took their concerns to the streets. We’re faced with the fact that some people spend a lot of time and energy on their activism while others won’t even use their chance to vote.

Correlated to the upcoming European elections in 2014 we want to discuss possibilities of political participation, European Citizen Rights and creative ways of drawing public attention to our needs and issues.
